Empowering Parents with Evidence-Based Care and Lasting Support

Dr. Sarah Beth Eriksen, MD, NABBLM-C, IBCLC

Dr. Sarah Beth Eriksen is a board-certified pediatrician and one of the nation’s first physicians certified in breastfeeding and lactation medicine. After a decade of caring for families in both private practice and community health settings, she founded FLOW to  fill a gap consistently seen in postpartum and newborn care.

Originally from rural Douglas, Georgia, Dr. Eriksen grew up with a deep appreciation for the importance of community and connection- values that shape the way she practices medicine today. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science from Furman University and went on to receive her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, where she was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed her pediatric residency training in Greenville, South Carolina, where her passion for supporting families in the postpartum period first took root.
As a mother, physician, and advocate, Dr. Eriksen understands firsthand the joys and challenges of welcoming a new baby. She has dedicated her career to creating a model of care that meets families where they are combining medical expertise with compassionate guidance to support both parent and baby as patients. At FLOW, she brings together the science of lactation, the art of attachment, and a deep respect for the bond between parent and child, a foundational pillar to lifelong health.

Outside of her work, Dr. Eriksen is married to Bryan, a neonatologist, and together they are raising three children and a Golden Retriever.

Sue Lembersky, RN

Sue is the lead nurse at FLOW and the director of our milk depot in partnership with Mother's Milk Bank Southeast.

Sue brings 39 years of nursing experience, all in pediatrics, to FLOW — and it shows in everything she does. From 15 years in the PICU at the University of Chicago and Dolly Parton Children's Hospital, to 7 years in pediatric primary care, Sue has spent her entire career caring for children and families in their most vulnerable moments.

Sue loves welcoming new patients and milk donors to FLOW- from the first phone call to greeting them in the office. She says her favorite moment is witnessing frustration and overwhelm turn into a clarity and peace- something she sees regularly when families receive medical care at FLOW.

Outside the clinic, Sue is a proud wife, mom to two grown children in Florida, caretaker to two cats and one dog, and an enthusiastic pickleball player. She speaks fluent Spanish and volunteers every year in Guatemala, providing exams and care for hundreds of children in remote villages. Sue radiates kindness and excellence in everything she does and FLOW would not be the same without her!
